A. The burning desire of the people of Taj Nagar was to have a railway station in their village. To achieve this, everyone contributed and collected ₹21 lakh.

A. Villagers had to walk 6 km to Halimandi or Patli for a train, even though railway lines passed through their village. Authorities refused due to lack of funds.

Q3. What is MGP an NGO doing in Sitapur district? Why?

A. MGP is building a solar micro-grid network to provide LED light and mobile charging at ₹25/week. This helps rural families get affordable electricity.

Q4. How were the panels installed?

A. Panels were installed on brick houses, facing south to capture maximum sunlight. Batteries were kept inside the same house.

Q5. How have solar micro-grids helped the village people?

A. Solar grids reduced pollution and saved the environment. Children can study more, new businesses emerged, and women enjoy cooking in light.
