🙋 સ્વાધ્યાય જવાબો –
Kach & Devyani
A. The asurs were powerful and capable of all kinds of wickedness.
A. Guru Shukracharya knew the magic mantra for bringing the dead people back to life.
A. Brihaspati advised the Devs to send somebody to Shukracharya to learn the Sanjivani Vidya.
A. Kach requested Guru Shukracharya to accept him as a student and teach him the Sanjivani Vidya.
A. Kach was young, handsome, and intelligent – these qualities attracted Devyani.
A. Shukracharya advised Devyani not to grieve or cry or distress herself for a mortal like Kach.
A. Devyani cursed Kach because he refused to marry her, and she felt betrayed.
A. The Asurs had Shukracharya who knew the magic mantra to revive the dead. He restored many dead Asurs, so the Devs couldn’t defeat them.
A. He asked Kach to collect flowers for prayers, firewood for yajna, and take care of cows – grazing them and bringing them back.
A. The Asurs burnt Kach's body, mixed his ashes in divine wine, and gave it to Shukracharya so he couldn’t be revived.
A. Devyani urged Kach to marry her. He refused, saying they were like siblings since both emerged from Shukracharya.
A. Kach came out from Shukracharya’s stomach after being revived. So, he said marrying Devyani would be a sin since she was like his sister.
